Meet Me

My name is Anna Blackburn, and I am a public relations professional who graduated from the University of Oklahoma in December 2024 with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations and a minor in Social Justice.

I began my time at OU as a journalism major, studying journalism through the first semester of my junior year. While I ultimately found my passion in public relations, my time in the journalism program gave me a strong foundation in writing, videography, interviewing, audience connection, and storytelling, skills that continue to support my work today.

As a PR major, I joined Lindsey & Asp, OU’s student-led advertising and public relations agency, where I worked with clients including Dress for Success OKC, OU Athletics, The Sooner Nation Collective, and Konjo Concepts. I also developed comprehensive campaigns through coursework for clients like Giovanni Raspini, an Italian jewelry company, and Tulsa Regional Tourism.

In early 2025, I began freelance work with McGill Tree Farm, where I redesigned and maintained their website on Wix, created and distributed email campaigns via Mailchimp.

Currently, I’m interning with Anglin Public Relations, supporting their work with the Association of Central Oklahoma Governments (ACOG). In this role, I research and attend community events, create digital content, and manage a multi-platform content calendar. I’ve also conducted digital audits, managed analytics, and supported outreach strategies to build relationships and expand campaign reach.

Each of these roles has strengthened my passion for thoughtful storytelling, strategic communication, and meaningful brand engagement. I’m excited to continue growing in the field and bring fresh ideas and energy to every opportunity I pursue.
